The questions we hear most often

PB JAM helps professionals build the soft skills and work behaviors that drive career growth. We do it in three steps: See your capability gaps through a multi-stakeholder assessment, Build those capabilities through facilitated peer collectives, and Validate that the changes are visible and real through ongoing stakeholder feedback.

Generic training gives everyone the same content. Executive coaching is individualized but expensive and rarely verifiable. PB JAM is a third path: individualization at scale, backed by science, with outcomes your stakeholders can see and verify.

Your peer collective is also qualitatively different from a coaching relationship. A coach brings one perspective. A diverse group of professionals from different industries, functions, and geographies brings lenses that neither you nor any single coach could generate alone.

FREE The self-assessment covers perceived skill and behavioral frequency across all six PB JAM Facets. You receive a personalized report identifying your highest-priority development areas.
PAID The full three-point assessment adds stakeholder perception data and unlocks facilitated peer collectives, structured development programs, and ongoing stakeholder validation. Programs are pay-as-you-go with flexible scheduling.
We also offer a full money-back guarantee - see below.

A standard development cycle is 12 weeks with one 90-minute peer session per week. Most participants focus on one behavior per cycle. You can continue into additional cycles to work on other areas or deepen progress. The initial assessment takes roughly 30 minutes.

Yes. Your assessment results, session discussions, and development goals are confidential. Stakeholder feedback is aggregated and anonymized - individual responses are never shared. Your employer does not see your individual results unless you choose to share them.

No. Follow the same guidelines you would at a trade show, conference, or when meeting a new supplier. It is fine to say you are under pressure to hit a sales target this quarter. It is not fine to share specific numbers, product names, or company-identifiable information. When in doubt, check with your manager or HR.

Ask your manager for specific, concrete instances. Write them down as objectively as you can and bring them to your next peer session for discussion (respecting workplace confidentiality). When you make progress, check in briefly with your manager and ask if they are seeing the same thing. Repeat this cycle until you both see improvement - or until you both understand where the perception gap comes from. Agreeing to disagree on certain points is a legitimate and honest outcome.

We offer a full refund for any 12-week program if your overall satisfaction falls below 70% at the mid-point (session 6) and end-point (session 12) evaluations. If that threshold is not met, we refund the cost for that cycle and ask only that you tell us what would have made the experience better.

Yes. PB JAM offers structured team engagements and strategic partnerships in addition to individual programs. See the Teams and Partners sections below for details, or visit For Teams and For Partners.

About PB JAM
Our methodology, framework, and what makes this different

The PB JAM Facets© are the six core areas of professional behavior that our platform addresses:

  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Leadership
  • Being Organized
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Being Valuable

These are the behaviors most consistently linked to career progress - and most consistently underdeveloped, because universities and corporate training programs rarely teach them in a targeted, individualized way.

See - the assessment surfaces your capability gaps through three-point diagnostic triangulation across the six Facets.

Build - facilitated peer collectives help you turn insight into real behavioral change through structured sessions with professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Validate - stakeholders in your workplace confirm whether the change is visible and real at defined intervals. This is the step most development programs skip entirely.

Diversity of perspective is the intervention, not a limitation. PB JAM deliberately assembles cohorts from different companies, industries, and functions because blind spots are invisible precisely because everyone around you shares the same context. Peers from outside your bubble see what colleagues inside it cannot.

No. In peer coaching, one person advises another. PB JAM uses a facilitated collective model where insights emerge from structured group interaction - guided by a trained facilitator, anchored in assessment data, and validated by stakeholders. The power lies within you and your peers, not in a single advisor's perspective.

The Assessment
How we diagnose, what we measure, and what the tiers mean

The PB JAM assessment captures three distinct data points across each of the six Facets:

  • Your perceived skill level - how skilled you believe you are
  • Your behavioral frequency - how often you actually demonstrate the behavior
  • Your stakeholder perception - how the people you work with experience you

Where these three diverge most is where blind spots are most likely to exist - and where focused development will deliver the most impact.

Look for variance across the three data points within each Facet. A high perceived skill paired with lower behavioral frequency or stakeholder perception indicates a blind spot. Where all three align, you are likely on solid ground. Your personalized report highlights the areas with the largest gaps and suggests where to focus first.

The assessment gives you enough precision to check internal resources at your organization. PB JAM does not evaluate your employer's internal L&D catalog.
Your Development Journey
Sessions, peer groups, behavior change, and what to expect

Each 90-minute session includes a brief skill focus, peer practice, and a real-world application plan. Every session ends with a specific, actionable commitment for the coming week. Application happens naturally in daily work - no separate homework required. Sessions are facilitated by a trained PB JAM facilitator.

Typical peer groups have 3 to 6 members plus a trained facilitator. This size is large enough for diverse perspectives and small enough for trust and accountability.

The sessions are structured, not free-form. You do not need to be an extrovert. Over time, the tools and interactions will help you become effective at listening to, understanding, and supporting your peers. That turns out to be just as valuable at work as the specific behavior you came to develop.

You will typically notice the first changes yourself - lower stress, better interactions, shorter task times, depending on the focus area. We also ask your peer group and selected work colleagues to evaluate your progress at regular intervals. When multiple sources confirm the change as positive and consistent, you are on track.

We recommend starting with one behavior, especially for your first couple of 12-week cycles. Sustainable change requires bandwidth from you, your peers, and your stakeholders. Once you have a few successful cycles under your belt, working on two behaviors in parallel becomes more manageable. Discuss this with your facilitator and group before expanding.

Focus on a selected behavior for at least 6 weeks (roughly sessions 6-12). This gives enough time to make visible progress and begin incorporating the change into your regular routine. After a full 12-week cycle, you can advance to a deeper level of the same behavior or move to a new one. If you do not see expected change after 12 weeks, it is fine to set it aside and return when conditions are right.

For Teams & Organizations
Team assessments, pilot programs, and measurable outcomes

The organizational assessment evaluates the same six PB JAM Facets© as the individual assessment, but surfaces patterns across the team and maps perception gaps between the team's self-view and the view from key stakeholders - managers, cross-functional partners, or external contacts. This makes it possible to prioritize the capability areas with the biggest organizational impact.

A typical pilot engagement spans approximately 3 months and starts with an organizational capability assessment. Based on what the assessment reveals, the program typically includes a combination of Lightning Workshops - focused 2-hour peer-powered sessions on specific capability themes - and multi-week development programs for individuals. The structure is defined; the content and mix are shaped by your organization's actual needs, not a standard package.

Baseline measurements are established after the initial assessment. Progress is tracked at defined intervals using the same stakeholder feedback mechanism as the individual program. Success metrics are defined collaboratively with your organization before the program begins - so outcomes are measurable and verifiable, not self-reported.

For Partners
PE firms, accelerators, and educational institutions

PE firms use PB JAM to assess and develop operational leadership capabilities across portfolio companies. Accelerators use it to build founding team soft skills at scale. In both cases, the assessment provides a structured diagnostic that surfaces capability gaps early - before they become value destroyers. PB JAM is currently seeking a small number of founding partners who receive premium expertise at startup-stage pricing.

Educational institutions use PB JAM to offer science-based micro-credentials in professional skills - extending their value proposition beyond traditional curricula. PB JAM operates as a standalone platform with no LMS or IT integration required. Institutions can also offer micro-credentials to alumni networks to boost engagement and lifelong learning.

Founding partners gain early access to PB JAM's platform and methodology at preferential pricing, and help shape the product as it scales. In return, PB JAM gains real-world validation across diverse organizational contexts. These are strategic conversations, not sales pitches - schedule a call if you would like to explore.
